With a foundation in property restoration beginning at a family-owned company, transitioning to the insurance industry for 27 years handling residential and commercial claims, and the last (17) years in management, Rick Wahlstrom brings a breadth of knowledge. Wahlstrom’s experience includes responding to catastrophes nationwide including hurricanes, fire, tornado, flood to name a few. For the past 11 years, Rick has been with BELFOR Property Restoration, 1-800 WATER DAMAGE and more recently contributing to our BELFOR Franchise Group Claims Partnership Program specializing in training, estimate review and compliance.

Tom has been in the restoration industry for many years, having been the owner of a full-service restoration company for over 27 years. He sold his company in July of 2022. He has managed emergency losses in mainly the residential space to include water damage, contents (pack out, cleaning, storage, and pack back), mold remediation, and re-construction services. He joined our BELFOR Franchise Group team in 2023 as part of the Estimate Review and Compliance Department.

Tom has his Builder’s License in the state of Michigan, as well as many IICRC certifications including
(WRT, AMRT, ASD, MRS, FSRT).  Tom has 7 children ranging in ages from 16 to 28 and his favorite hobbies include camping and baseball.
